Description
This is a corner shop with character and has had many characters go through the shop with lots of history built in 1910 Was owned by a man called Allan Page who had it for many years his children grew up there who are now in the 60?s with the kids initials carved into the wood work at the front of the shopSold the shop when the old wool sheds of port Adelaide were coming to a standstill so he knew the trade was going to be gone. The main street of port Adelaide run past it in the earlier days as far as I have been told.Rumour has it bikies once lived there and stormy summers laundered money through there. If you talk about the Brock street caf? I know that place people say I remember 3o years ago I went in there are in when it was operational about a couple of years ago as a caf?.The previous owners had left this character land mark in a dismal state.I am the current owner trying to get more information and old photos of my property and retaining its character maybe one day be used as a shop again. If you have any information and can assist with my passion and love of old character buildings and history please the help would be so much appreciated.I have never owned a home in a historic area.Thankyou Julie
